• Tridon glow plugs are of double coil design for both pre-heating(2-6 seconds) and post heating (up to 3 minutes after start), to assist with start up and cold engine running conditions.
• The glow plug is a key component of a diesel engine, designed to assist during cold start conditions by providing a brief and targeted heat source.
• This is achieved by the glow plug heating element which protrudes into the cylinder, usually located in the pre-combustion chamber or cylinder head. The glow plug element is designed to glow (heat) for a predetermined period of time to increase the temperature within the cylinder, resulting in easier starting and smoother cold running conditions.
