The range of floating discs consists of 26 part numbers directly derived from Brembo's OE production. The range covers the most exclusive, top-performing applications, requiring a braking system affording superior performance levels that can only be guaranteed by Brembo's experience in sports competitions.
Floating discs feature an aluminium hub which ensures a considerable reduction in the unsprung weight, with a positive effect on comfort, road handling and consumption/emission levels. The system performance also benefits from the fact that the disc hub is joined to the special cast iron braking surface with fixing bushes. Consequently, the two components subject to thermal stress can expand in an elastic manner, preventing the disc from deforming and any cracks from forming due to overheating.

The low environmental impact and the excellent resistance to corrosion allow the range of brake discs with UV coating to establish a new benchmark for the protective treatment. Moreover, the exclusive metal finish offers an appealing aesthetic impact.
ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY
Brembo takes care of the environment and your health. By choosing the UV technology, instead of a standard one, Brembo saves up to 98% in terms of energy and CO2 emissions! The process has a significant impact on the environment: 100 brake discs coated with UV technology, saves energy equal to:
The Brembo patent for PVT discs changes market habits, using pillars instead of vanes in the ventilation chamber. The system improves cooling capacity and increases resistance to thermal cracks by more than 40%. The most significant innovations are:
LESS EMPTY SPACE FOR CRACK PROPAGATION
A more even distribution of pillars to vanes reduces the space available for propagation of thermal cracks on the braking surface.
MORE THERMAL EXCHANGE SURFACE
When compared to vane-type ventilation, the pillar-type ensures a larger thermal exchange surface, thus improving heat dissipation capacity.
GREATER AIR TURBULENCE
Inside the ventilation chamber, the pillars help generate greater air turbulence and therefore increased cooling capacity.
Perfect result of Brembo's philosophy of offering also to the Aftermarket a range of products developed with the same parameters as the Original Equipment, the High Carbon (HC) brake discs offer comfort and reduced noise thanks to the high damping coefficient. The result comes from Brembo technology and complete control over production in its plants, which allows for variation of the chemical composition of the cast iron by increasing the percentage of carbon.
HC brake discs are used for more than 500 codes for cars and industrial vehicles.
Brembo is a world leader in the design,
development and production of braking systems and
components for cars, motorbikes, industrial vehicles and machinery,
for the OE market,after-market and racing.
Performance, Comfort and Design are the values which distinguish the brand and make Brembo products the most prestigious braking systems and components in the world.
